Facial Aftercare
Welcome to our Aftercare page! Following your facial service, it's important to care for your skin to maintain its glow and health. Here, you'll find essential tips on hydration, sun protection, and gentle exfoliation to soothe any sensitivity you may experience. By following these recommendations, you can ensure that your skin stays radiant and rejuvenated long after your appointment.
✨ Immediate Post-Facial Care (First 24–48 Hours)
Your skin has been deeply cleansed, exfoliated, and nourished. Because pores are open and the skin barrier is actively resetting, follow these steps to keep your complexion clear and glowing:
Essential "Do's"
-
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins and keep your skin plump and hydrated from within.
-
Keep It Clean: Use clean pillowcases (and clean bed sheets for back facials), wash your phone screen, and tie back clean hair away from the face or back.
-
Wear Sun Protection: Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily. Treated skin is extra susceptible to UV damage and hyperpigmentation.
-
Apply Gentle Hydration: Stick to simple, hydrating, non-comedogenic moisturizers recommended by your provider.
The "Avoid" List
-
Avoid Touching or Picking: Resist touching your skin or picking at any residual blemishes/extractions to prevent infection or scarring.
-
Avoid Heavy Makeup: Skip foundation and heavy cosmetics for at least 24 hours to let your skin breathe.
-
Avoid Active Skincare: Pause active ingredients like Retinol, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid, Vitamin C, and benzoyl peroxide for 3–5 days.
-
Avoid Heat & Heavy Sweating: Skip strenuous workouts, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and hot showers for 24–48 hours. Sweat can trap bacteria in open pores.
-
Avoid Direct Sun & Tanning: Stay out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds for at least a week post-treatment.
🧴 Maintenance & Ongoing Care (Days 3+)
Resume Gentle Exfoliation (After 3–5 Days)
-
Only resume light exfoliation or active treatments when skin is no longer sensitized or flaky.
-
Stick to gentle, chemical exfoliants or soft cloths over harsh mechanical scrubs.
Special Tips for Back Facials
-
Clothing: Wear loose, soft, breathable cotton shirts to prevent friction and sweat buildup on your back.
-
Shower Routine: Rinse off thoroughly after daily activity or low-impact exercises once cleared, ensuring non-comedogenic body wash is used.

Days 3–5 Hydration Maintenance Slowly reintroduce standard moisturizer; continue daily SPF

Normal vs. Concern:
Mild tightness, slight pinkness, or minor flaking over the next 24–48 hours is normal as cells turn over. If you experience persistent severe redness, hives, intense burning, or fluid-filled breakouts, contact your skincare specialist.
